Wrigley and its associates making meaningful impact on our families
From Skittles to Starburst to Excel chewing gum, Wrigley Canada’s product offerings create simple pleasures to brighten everyone’s day. Now the confections company is brightening the days of families with seriously ill children by partnering with Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Toronto.
Over the next three years, Wrigley has made a generous financial commitment to help support our “home away from home.” Our Family Den, a cozy space with comfy couches and video game consoles, will be named to recognize Wrigley’s generosity.
Wrigley associates will also be volunteering their time at our House to make dinner, bake cookies, clean and garden. They’ve already brought big smiles to our families by making Care Bags and helping carve pumpkins at Halloween.
“We’re thrilled to be partnering with Wrigley Canada, a company who strongly believes in our mission,” says Sally Ginter, CEO of RMHC Toronto. “Wrigley associates have shown such enthusiasm while volunteering at our House, so we look forward to giving them many meaningful opportunities to support our families.”
Wrigley will be spreading smiles not just in Toronto, but all across Canada. Their commitment also includes a partnership with RMHC Canada to provide support for Houses in Montreal, Calgary, Hamilton, Vancouver, Halifax and Ottawa.
"Wrigley brings smiles to Canadians through our much loved brands and now we're very proud to bring a different kind of smile to the families that experience the incredible support of Ronald McDonald House Charities," said Michelle Lefler, Manager of Corporate Affairs for Wrigley Canada. "Our new partnership will offer our Associates an opportunity to make a meaningful difference through volunteering and we are truly honoured to be a part of the great work that takes place each day across Canada."
Thank you to Wrigley Canada and its employees for all they’re doing to help RMHC Toronto keep families close.
