WestJet program unites families like the Koskis

Partners reach out in many ways to support families at RMHC Toronto. Last year, WestJet donated 32 flights to our families to keep them close when they needed each other the most.

They are families like the Koskis from Thunder Bay. Elliot spent 72 days in neonatal intensive care in Toronto after he was born prematurely in September 2016. WestJet donated flights so that dad, Cory, and big brother, Matthew, could be together with Elliot, and mom, Crystal, after Elliot’s birth. The family also flew back to Thunder Bay, free of charge, thanks to WestJet.

The donated flights “helped everyone’s spirits immensely, and allowed us to process this new event as a family united, not divided by distance,” says Crystal. “Ronald McDonald House Charities Toronto is a magical place, and all of their partnerships with companies, like WestJet, help families like ours handle the medical needs of our children with generosity, dignity and kindness.”

WestJet is celebrating 10 years of its WestJet Cares for Kids program this month with the release of its newest adorable video.
