There’s nothing like summer camp to bring happiness to kids. At RMHC Toronto Camp, campers can bond with kids going through similar journeys.
RMHC Toronto Camp began at the beginning of July and has already provided campers with fun-filled days featuring many unique activities.
In the first week, kids enjoyed an underwater/pirate theme, and last week, it was an animal kingdom theme.
Wild Water Wednesday is always one of the camper’s favourite activities because they play with water from the sprinkler in the Tranquility Garden.
For the first time ever, RMHC Toronto has a camp song! Watch the camp volunteers and campers sing the song.
Program Coordinator, Ami Armagost, says the real highlight of Camp is the friendships.
“The campers are finding comfort in spending the summer with peers who understand them. They support and accept each other, and bond over what they have in common – the joy of being a kid,” she says.
Ami says many close friendships have already formed between campers. With more than 60 campers expected to attend this summer, that makes for a lot of special friendships and memories.
