COVID-19 update

A message from Sally Ginter, CEO of RMHC Toronto.
COVID-19 update
Dear friends,

As valued supporters of RMHC Toronto, I have some exciting news to share with you. After a pause in admissions due to COVID-19 though continuing to support existing families at the House, we have secured appropriate approval from RMHC Global to begin the process of safely admitting additional families to the House.

We continue to navigate the COVID-19 situation by following the expertise and guidance from our local public health authorities, Board of Directors, and hospital partners. They continue to assist us in making informed decisions to ensure we protect the health and safety of the families we serve, the people who deliver our mission, and the communities in which we live.

As of today, we anticipate our new protocols and policies will be in place by early June to start welcoming additional families. We will do so in a safe and controlled manner, admitting a limited number of families over the course of a few weeks.

Despite the changes we have embraced, one thing has remained the same – our ability to deliver our mission. In fact, I believe it is stronger than ever. Families need our help, so we must continue to provide them with the support they need to stay close to their seriously ill child.

I look forward to sharing more information soon as we welcome additional families to the House and plan how to safely re-open our Family Rooms.

This experience has taught us a lot – we are adaptable, we can rise to the challenge, and we are stronger together. Thank you for your unwavering support of our mission. Together we will continue to deliver exceptional care for our families.

With sincere appreciation,

Sally Ginter
